Congratulations to two of our outstanding telecommunicators for being honoured with awards that celebrate their remarkable achievements!

Chantelle Pekeski, recipient of the Communicator of the Year Award, which is presented to a member of the Communications Centre who shows exceptional dedication to their work.

Linda Cuthbertson, recipient of the Paul Schram Award, which was established in 1994 to honour the late Paul Schram's role in implementing Peel Region's 911 system. This award is given annually to a 911 call taker for outstanding community service.

Each year, we celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week to celebrate our telecommunicators for their contributions to the community.

Our dispatchers are unseen heroes, providing a vital link between frontline officers and people who need urgent assistance, ensuring and effective communication in times of crisis.

The Peel Police Auxiliary program consists of over 100 highly trained Auxiliary Officer volunteers who represent the diverse backgrounds, careers, and age of the residents within Peel. Congratulations Auxiliary Class #38, welcome to the PRP family!

Have you ever seen two cruisers parked together and wondered what officers were doing? We follow up on community complaints, write notes, send emails, discuss investigative strategies, review reports, and do everything we can to address the needs of our community….and yes sometimes we need a coffee ☕️ and a meal which may include a donut 🍩😊🚔
