Task 1 : Internet Safety Pre-Assessment

As a pre-lesson assessment each student will complete a true-false written activity based on aspects of Internet safety.

1. Distribute the tool, Assessing Internet Behaviour. This can be completed online at: http://www.peelpolice.on.ca/computerInternetSafety_files/cyberproofed/grades6-8.htm
2. Use assessment results to determine students' background knowledge prior to any further instruction.

4. Use assessment results to determine student's background knowledge prior to any further instruction. Record results on tracking sheet provided.
   
   
5. Compare results to post-assessment at completion of unit.

Adaptations

As an alternative to Assessing Internet Behaviours, a modified tool making use of visual clues may be substituted for ESL/ESD and/or Exceptional Students.
